Favorite Kurt friendship
So, since we'are a bit slow on Chris news the past few days, I figured we could still share some of our favorite Kurt memories.
What is your favorite Kurt friendship and why?

Re: Favorite Kurt friendship
1. Kurt and Mercedes
I liked them since the beginning of the series and i think Mercedes is one of the few people who really cared about Kurt and wasn't just some ugly parasite who called themself a friend, but only when they could get something from him (looking at you Rachel, Santana, Blaine)
2. Can we count Furt as well?
Ok, they had a bit of a rocky start, but even before the whole Theatricality debacle you could allready tell that they had a special bond together.
You know in 5000 years, when i reincarnate for the 600th time as a mermaid or something, then i will still be pissed that after S2 we got like only 2 or 3 furt scenes.

Re: Favorite Kurt friendship
I enjoyed the Kurt/Elliot that we got. They could enjoy each other without being competitors/rivals and there was a nice playful vibe. Elliot supported Kurt and even teased him about being "lucky" when Kurt complained about not getting any sleep.
One of my fave numbers was "The Happening" with one Three Hill, and the trio's portion of "Hold On". Kurt and Elliot just seemed to click onscreen very well. IBIATCL was sheer perfection.
Always been a Kurcedes fan, and NGL, despite how they tried to destroy it in Season 6, Loved, loved , loved the vibe between Kurt and Santana through most of Season 4 and 5, In "The QB" ; the tender moment with Finn's Jacket, bonding over "The Facts of Life", agreeing on Brody being a drug pusher, etc. it was two good actors having fantastic chemistry.

my fav friendship is actually that elder gay man. he's totally cool. kurt needs some grown-up advice rather than babysitting that kid all the time.

Re: Favorite Kurt friendship
I think Furt is one of my favorites, because there was an evolution to it. It didn't just spontaneously happen, it had serious issues a couple of times, but they came through it. I will never forgive Glee for wasting time on the soap opera love relationships, instead of allowing the joy of actual friendships to be given equal screen time.
I enjoyed the little bit we got of Elliot, he was supportive, called it like it is, and respected Kurt's talent. Kind of hard to dislike the guy. Plus he looked like Adam Lambert, yum.

Re: Favorite Kurt friendship
One of my favorites Kurt friendship is his friendship with Mercedes. If it was not for her disgusting rant in the last season to Kurt I would add Santana. But still enjoy their friendship when it comes to Glee Fan Fiction. And did like the tender moment with Finn's jacket in "The QB." between Kurt and Santana.

Re: Favorite Kurt friendship
I never understood the need to torpedo each and every single one of Kurt's friendships. All of them (with one exception) had a fatal flaw built in. I loved him and Santana, but I don't think I could ever forgive her rant in season six. Rachel was too competitive to really be a friend. Sam was a good friend up until the time they threw his relationship under the bus for Blam. Adam had to be disposed of in order to allow Klaine to continue. Karofsky was never really allowed to happen despite having so much potential and Elliot and Dani had built in expiration dates.
Mercedes and Kurt were so tight, but they let the friendship fade. First with Mercedes's insensitivity to Kurt during Grilled Cheesus (where pushing religion on him was the wrong thing to do during this kind of a crisis) and then to tighten his relationship with Rachel.
If I had to pick one favorite, it would be Kurt's relationship, it would have been Kurt's bond with Finn. It wasn't a simple or easy. It took them a long time to understand one another and find that place where they could be friends and brothers but once it happened, it was pretty amazing. And rightly listed as a high point of the show's overall storyline during Sue's final's speech. It was a bloody shame that the writers didn't recognize what they had and didn't give them a fraction of the focus spent on the idiocy that was Blam.

Re: Favorite Kurt friendship
I agree that most of Kurt friendships had their flaws, and blame the writers for it. So I'd say I really enjoyed Kurt/Elliot friendship as they truly support each other, and though both were amazing singers, they never tried to steal the spotlight from the other in order to be in front of the band. So, is a pity that friendship had an expirated date.
Furt, is a friendship that deserved more scenes after season two, and still I'm sad and upset we never got an appropiate Furt duet, damn you Glee. Though they had their ups and downs, like Finn scared to help Kurt when Karofsky bullied him because didn't want to get in troubles, at the end of the day Finn always find the way to be there for his brother
As regards Hummelberry, Kurtana and Kurtcedes; I simply will try to remember the nice moments.

Re: Favorite Kurt friendship
I'd say Elliott, because he's the only close friend we've seen Kurt have who's always there for him.
Kurtcedes was really nice until Grilled Cheesus, Hummelberry also had good times but Rachel was just too selfish, and Kurtana had lovely moments which they should have explored more, but the rant ruined it. Kurt and Sam had wasted potential and they ruined it with Blam.
Furt was nice though, because by the end they had grown very close and were always there for each other.

Re: Favorite Kurt friendship
What was great about Elliot was that while he was also looking to be a performer as a professional career, he didn't just see Kurt as competition. This was very different from Rachel, Blaine and even Mercedes, who all saw Kurt at least as much competition as they did a friend. Elliot wanted to collaborate and work with Kurt and never tried to overshadow Kurt when it was Kurt's place to be in the spotlight.
Take how the rest of Pamela Lansbury behaved as they were bemoaning the band's first performance. While Santana and Rachel were so busy talking about the downfall of the band and being so magnanimous in not telling Kurt that they told him so (while at the same point making it clear that they told him so), Elliot was the only one who defended Kurt as the leader of the group. And when Blaine fed into Kurt's insecurities (that Elliot was looking to usurp his role as leader), Elliot gently reassured Kurt that he had no intention of doing that and instead helped to draw out a side of Kurt as a performer that we hadn't seen up until then.
It's a damn shame that we couldn't keep Adam Lambert in the cast longer, because with everyone (including his fiancé) treated their relationship with Kurt like some kind of race (where Kurt had to come in second), Elliot's support was very refreshing.

Re: Favorite Kurt friendship
I never answered this.
My favorite Kurt friendship by far is the one he had with Finn, and it always made me sad that they didn't explore the relationship more because every time they shared a scene, it was memorable, whether it was the early scenes when Kurt was crushing on Finn, or silly moments like the scene in Furt when they were talking about the wedding, and Kurt talked about having live doves, and Finn was like "Won't that be a mess?" and Kurt said, "That's why we feed them glitter, Finn" like Finn should have known that, or the awkward moments when they were transitioning from just being friends to living together (like the bedroom scene in theatricality).
Two of the more memorable Furt scenes were the scene in the locker room when Kurt talked to Finn about going to college in season 3, and the living room scene in the breakup. Chris and Cory just worked so well together that the moments they shared on screen seemed so real and heart felt.
Furt definitely had some bumps along the way, but thanks to Chris and Cory's fantastic acting, they took a small amount of screen time and turned it into one of the strongest relationships on the show.
