Episode description from the DVD:

Rachel's ex Jesse shows up to take her to the prom, which creates tension for Finn, and even more tension with Quinn, who is desperate to be crowned prom queen. As feelings are mended and others hurt, Kurt's wardrobe statement at the prom wins him some royal attention.

I like supportive Rachel. Amber is so bad in this scene, though. She should stick to singing.

Chris was so good in the asking Blaine to prom scene. You can really see his emotions change in the scene. Darren on the other hand...I'll just keep my mouth shut for a change. Gotta love Kurt's squeaky excitement when Blaine said yes.

I love the gown scene. Lauren's yellow dress is hideous. That jumpsuit Kurt is wearing is hideous. Go with God Satan. The expressions and eyes when he tells them he is going with Blaine are classic.

Rolling In The Deep is good, but not one of my favorite songs.

Chris was so good in the asking Blaine to prom scene. You can really see his emotions change in the scene. Darren on the other hand...I'll just keep my mouth shut for a change. Gotta love Kurt's squeaky excitement when Blaine said yes.

I will, in fact, comment on Darren's acting in that scene. It was dreadful. I honestly still have a hard time believing that happened because both times it has been mentioned, it was almost throw away. Not only that, the retconning to Blaine being bashed turns into a huge mark against Blaine because why would he send Kurt to confront Karofsky if Blaine himself had been bashed?

Got a phone call, so I had to take a break from watching, but now I'm back.

Rachel was sweet with her advice to Finn about the corsage. I kind of like nice not selfish Rachel.

The bully whips scene is funny. No burning liberace mannequins. hehe Chris' face is classic. "I'm walking away from you now."

Kurt is adorable in the entire cooking class scene. He looks so dreamy eyed. Chris likes twirling stuff

Kevin did a nice job on "Isn't She Lovely."

I want to see Burt in that ruffle shirt powder blue tux.

I don't like Blaine's smirk about Kurt's outfit. I love that Finn liked it. Oh, and don't get me started on "out and proud" Blaine trying to talk Kurt out of the kilt. Kurt just wanted to be himself. He gave Blaine an ot. And Blaine just gives him a "can you believe this guy" look.

No one is harassing you because you, Kurt, because Karofsky was the main person harrassing you. I like what Kurt was supportive of Dave despite what happened to him. I know a lot of people don't agree, but I like that Kurt was forgiving and supportive to Dave. Kurt's forgiveness and supportive nature has always been on of my favorite things about him. I don't want them as BFF's, but I don't mind Kurt being cautiously comfortable around Dave.

Chord, Mark, and Kevin did such a good job on Friday Night. They just did such a great job making fun of it.

I remember feeling so bad that Kurt was so ready to dance at prom, and Blaine just stood there during Friday Night. I just kept on thinking of Kurt's comment to Burt about wanting to be able to slow dance at his prom. Brit got to slow dance with a girl at prom.

Jar of Hearts was really pretty.

Mute Darren solo. Watch for Kurt reactions. Could have done without Santana smacking Karofsky's butt. Look. Blaine's voice makes people fight, right, Finn and Jesse.

I wasn't involved with the fandom when this epiode first aired, so I didn't know that Kurt would be prom queen. Gosh, it was a shocker. I felt so bad for Kurt. The look on his face, and then the look of the other students, and the ND kid not know what to do.

The hallway scene was just heartbreaking in the begining. Blaine really wasn't all that supprtive of him. He didn't really know what to do. He didn't really offer Kurt any advice or support at all did he. "It's just a joke. Let's just go. Sit down." I am glad that Kurt found the strength within himself to stand up proudly in front of the school after what they did to him.

Of course, Kurt was adorable when he accepted his crown.

It shouldn't have take Kurt being humiliated for Blaine to dance with him at prom. Actually, it was seeing Kurt's strength that changed Blaine's mind abut dancing with Kurt at prom.

The squee! expression on Kurt's face when he convinced the greasy hobbit to go with him was the most priceless thing!



That moment when Blaine didn't come to the defence of Kurt's adorable kilt, you could just that he knew he wasn't going to be getting any that night.

Have to admit that I loved Santana and Karofsky here. They were so adorable as one another's beards. And watching them dance together was just so... adorable! It was nice to see Dave let loose and drop his shields, if only for a few minutes.



The prom queen corination was painful, but it revealed our benevolent overlord, SassyPantsKurt. Long may he reign.



Admittedly Blaine did step up to the plate after Karofsky ran out on Kurt, but this was after not dancing with Kurt all night and leaving him standing on the sidelines while he attention whored his way through an awful song.

Blaine came across as a jerk in the hallway scene. He seemed irritated with Kurt and not at all supportive. Btw, Santana looks GREAT in that red dress!

"Out and proud" Blaine is about as affective as "I want to be a leader" Finn.

I still can't believe Figgins called out Kurt's name as Prom Queen.
There were so many options available for him to do besides actually announcing a Prom Queen he knew was a mockery and part of a bullying scheme.

Oh Glee.

But I'm so glad that Chris was able to make them change the script, because Kurt standing up for himself is so much more powerful than him being told to do so.

Thank God Chris made that change to the scene. He knows what's best for Kurt, not RIB.

He knows Kurt better than writers.

When I found out what the original idea, I was so pissed off! Because knowing what I know today, it looks like season 3 Kurt who was put aside to give more spotlight to his bf. They wanted Blaine to be the "hero".

Kurt was ready to take a beating from Karofsky and Azimio for wearing his GaGa outfit in 1x20. He defied his bullies and told them to "Go ahead, but I swear to you I will never change. I'm proud to be different: it's the best thing about me".

He never needed Blaine, nor his 'courage' message (which only got him in trouble more in 2x06).
