This makes me laugh and simultaneously roll my eyes, cause today I was precisely talking about how I don't understand all the general cat adoration. /sigh/ I guess for once the rest or the world is in the right and I'm the one in the wrong.
But dogs are still cooler.

Agree. I'd rather dogs over cats because the last ones hate me, I think that because always when I try to stroke them, they run o.o
But I just came from tumblr and suddenly everybody is a lover cat or WANNA BE A CAT I'm asking why?
Re: Chris Adopts Brian the Cat
Aww! That cat's adorable! I've been a cat lover ever since I was little.
I can't wait to see Chris on Chelsea Lately.

I love cats as some of you probably already know.
Actually Brian looks exactly like my cat Orlando that ran away two years ago.
That cat is so lucky.
I love dogs, but cats suit me, because they are easier to look after. I don't have that same patients with dogs.
Chris loves dogs as well, because he has one back in Clovis.

Re: Chris Adopts Brian the Cat
I know I read somewhere that almost everyone from the cast adopted cat and that is why they were on the set. I don't know if it is related to Chris's adoption.
It's sooo sweet! I can't say if I am cat person or dog, I love both, but because we have four cats at home, I have special weakness for them :-)
I don't have any cat from the shelter, but we rescued one cat from the street, he was like two weeks old, his owner kicked him out, he would not survive there. He was sooo little. And other cat we got when she was three, her owner got pregnant, moved to her parents, who hated the cat, were kicking her and wanted to kill her. So we took her home
I thought about that earlier that If I wanted to have other cats in the future I would want tormented cat again or older one from the shelter, because they have it much harder. And it is such a good feeling when you can rescue someone.
I am so happy for Chris, I wish he took a picture with Brian, it would be the greatest picture ever.

Re: Chris Adopts Brian the Cat
An article about the adoption and why it was nice from Chris to choose Brian:
Chris Colfer Adopts 8 Year Old Cat from Shelter
First Chris Colfer created some original artwork to raise money for animals. Now, the actor has graduated to adopting. Colfer went down to the West Valley Animal Shelter and took home an 8 year old 20 pound cat named Brian.
We often read about celebrities adopting puppies and kittens. Don’t get us wrong. We love any adoptions, but older animals have the hardest time finding a forever home. That’s why we’re so excited that Colfer is publicizing his new companion on twitter.
Colfer wrote, “I adopted a cat today from the West Valley Animal Shelter! His name is Brian, he’s 8 years-old and 20 pounds!” The “Glee” star continued, “It was heartbreaking to see so many sweet animals needing homes. Please think about rescuing!”
Speak to any shelter employee and they’ll tell you that everyone wants a young dog or cat. Senior critters often get ignored. But, there are many advantages to bringing home an older animal. Most of the time they have already spent a large majority of their lives living in a house which means they are probably potty trained and not so likely to eat your shoes.
Other animals that have a hard time being adopted include certain breeds like Pit Bulls, special needs animals and oddly enough, black dogs and cats.

I'm sure Chris took the photo that way so that the focus would be on Brian, but I couldn't help thinking, 'I want to see the rest of the body attached to that pale arm.'

I'm so happy that Chris adopted a cat, and that too, an older one
I love cats! Brian and Chris are so cute
Chris always does things to make me love him more, I don't know how that's even possible.
And for good measure:
I was also looking at his shoes, trying to see if I could recognize them

His kitty-cat is gorgeous !!!! He looks so gentlemanly, with the white chest and paws, and those 20-pounds must be duet to bones size, because he doesn't look fat to me. Must be a huge cat - reminds me of a Scottish Wildcat, but they have longer fur.

Re: Chris Adopts Brian the Cat
sorry I am going back to the kitty for a minute - Brian happens to be one of my sons' name, so it feels especially close to my heart. However "brian" is more of a serious human name. for a cat I like Mr. Colfer's choices better.
And the way the kitty looks like him, and letting him pet him, w/ that look of sweet contempt in his eyes - it just melted my heart! I actually prefer adopting adult pets. for dogs they are already house trained and for cats they are very people friendly - shelters usually evaluate the animals' temperament etc. sometimes problem ones (like ones that are too aggressive or not people-friendly tend to be turned away or even put to sleep (depending on their policies). When I am ready to adopt my new cat I will definitely look for an adult cat, hopefully someone as sweet and gentle as brian (the cat). I am still mornning for the disappareance of my last kitty. I really miss her.

Chris adopts Brian the Cat
Chris Colfer has a new roommate!
“I adopted a cat today from the West Valley Animal Shelter!” theGlee star Tweeted on Wednesday. “His name is Brian, he’s 8 years old and 20 pounds!”
Colfer dropped by the Chatsworth, Calif., shelter that afternoon with a female friend, and without getting recognized, went to the cat room and picked out the declawed brown tabby.
“He was very nice,” animal care technician Jesse Franco tells PEOPLE. “Not a lot of people adopt older cats.”
Colfer didn’t have to interact long with Brian before deciding to give him a forever home. It took just a few minutes for the actor to sign the adoption paperwork and await the cat’s exit evaluation.
Brian had been surrendered in late March by his previous owner, who had adopted him a few years ago. “It’s a big cat, but very sweet,” Franco says. “I think that’s why Chris liked it.”
Colfer urged his Twitter followers to consider the shelter as an option for finding pets. “It was heartbreaking to see so many sweet animals needing homes,” he wrote. “Please think about rescuing!”
