Yes, Blaine is still in love with Kurt. With the way he talked about Dave--clearly he has a thing for Blaine.

This episode is just dumb.

Well, Kurt is uncommonly beautiful here. That's the best I can say about this mess. They're trying to see some real tension and they're acting like I would if I were trapped in an elevator with a perfect stranger.

Love this song!

I...guess klainers are dying of excitement, but...IS CREEPY. And forced as well. They kissed because clown Sue asked, not because they wanted.

Well, that was anticlimactic. Hope it makes the Klainer's happy, but those two couldn't get out of that elevator fast enough once the door opened.

And I see what the Glee costumers are doing. Put Kurt in the tank top with lots of skin showing while Blaine gets sleeves. Finally acknowledging the incredible power of the Kurt Arm Porn.

And I'm sorry, but the music tonight is positively boring. Not liking any of these. The Warblers were too frenetic and ND is a cure for insomnia. Their voices are great but the songs are a total snooze.

It Must Have Been Love is just boring. Marshall and Becca do not blend well at all.

There was no chemistry in that kiss. Nothing.

Rachel hugs the grease stain first. Forget who your best friend is?

Father Figure is boring me too.

These songs are just so dull.

And yet another undeserved win for ND.

Can't feel sorry for Will. If he gave VA a fraction of the investment that he gave ND (like not being willing to throw them over in favor of his old choir) they wouldn't hate his guts. He doesn't have to like them in order to fulfil his obligation to them.

Yeah, the costuming dept is really showing favoritism in dressing Kurt and Blaine. Kurt looks stunning and Blaine looked like a bottle of Pepto Bismol spilled all over him.

This was an hour of my life that I'm not getting back.

I must be  Sue's twin (eww!!!), but I disagree with you and I like the ND songs. Though I agree Kitty and Spencer don't blend together. I guess I´m one of the few who likes this ND club, but sadly they were introduced so late.

Next week episode...I guess the nonsense plots will continue.

I like the noobs. I just found that set a total bore. It was three songs in the same tempo and same tone. It's like eating three servings of butterscotch pudding - maybe one serving would be fine, but once you started in on the third you can't stand the chemical butterscotch flavor.

This episode was a total mess. Disjointed, poorly paced and the meta gags were just so heavy handed that I couldn't even take malicious amusement at them. There was one positive thing - Kurt was absolutely stunning. And I want Rachel's grey sweater. Other than that, it was pretty awful.

I kept getting distracted during the episode whenever Kurt would appear. I always say that Chris looks gorgeous, but man, wow he looked stunning in that light. The clothes were also a plus, I bow down to the wardrobe department for showing off those arms.

The ND songs were so boring, and Spencer and Kitty's voices did not go well together.

I'm just not getting this show at all anymore. It's getting tough just to wade through to find the bits with Chris in them.

I did find their dessert quiz nice (the most natural thing in this whole episode),and Jane does give good face (rotten tomatos ain't waiting) but other than that, what a waste of money, time and effort. How f*ed up are these people?

I remember stumbling on a fanfiction years ago where Kurt was being kept prisoner with some New Direction guy, cannot remember who, and they were forced to do all kinds of sick things inorder to get out. Now few years later someone gives money to air this kind of stuff for real on Glee. Mad

Kurt edit, though it will probably have a lot of Blaine in it, sorry: link.

I made a long post about everything that happened in this episode for PreviouslyTV and I will post it here in a minute, but tbh I'm only watching Glee for Kurt/Chris anymore and find it dificult to watch the rest as it angers me so, which should not happen over a stupid tv show.

Best thing to come out of this episode: Kurt/Chris looking steaming hot. aa54

Re: 6x05 "The Hurt Locker, Part Two" Watch & Discussion thread

Post  Glorfindel on 1/31/2015, 9:26 pm

The only reason why this episode wasn’t as bad as ‘The Hurt Locker part 1’ imo was because of the Kitty/Rachel and new ND scenes. Kitty was my favorite season 4/5 newbie and I’m glad they’ve kept her for season 6 (though I wouldn’t mind seeing Jake again either). Her scenes about the glee club with Rachel were nice, and Becca’s acting was very believable when Kitty was telling Rachel how everyone had deserted her (never mind the retcon).
Spencer however? Not that impressed by him, waltzing in glee club as if he’s the leader, getting a solo when Jane ex-Warbler didn’t, and tbh I don’t find him to be a very good singer. And what’s up with him first being such a cool gay guy noone messes with, while now he’s afraid that being in glee club brings out the gay in him so much the other football players will beat him up for it? Besides the contradiction in his characterisation it also reeks of that whole effemiphobic mess of the straight passing gay being considered the better gay on Glee.

The meta in both Sue/Becky at the locker scenes was terribly cringeworthy, with Sue showing footage of a dream sequence and talking about how many weeks Glee will still be on depending on the network decissions, WTF? Somehow Becky being the voice of reason and questioning Klainer-Sue and all that meta made it worse imo.
It’s like the writers are so arrogant they’re even proud of the total mess they made of Klaine and Glee in general, while they are wasting Glee’s final season’s precious screentime on obsessing over teen 'endgame' relationships and mocking the fans. I can’t believe these people still have a job as writers and producers.

There was also a lot of meta in the scene Rachel had with the deaf choir director/policeman, ticking several boxes off one by one: reminding the audience that Arts in school is important but the programms get cut, that Kurt and Blaine belong together in New York, that Rachel is a quitter and got what she deserves, that Karofsky will always be the bully he once was because he’s an obstacle for ‘endgame’ Klaine.
Maybe they think that having a “Here’s what happened on Glee” at the beginning of each episodes is not enough anymore for the viewers to keep track of Glee’s ridiculous and whiplash storylines, so characters randomly pop up in the middle of episodes as narrators to give us an extra recap (like Sam did in 6x02).

I absolutely HATED the Sue-is-a-Klainer storyline. I already did last week, but this week’s kidnapping of Kurt and Blaine, keeping them locked up as in a horror movie, including a creepy doll, untill they are forced to kiss, is just awful in so many ways. And imo sexual harassment is certainly not funny, romantic or ‘hot’. I know we’re not supposed to take Glee seriously (unless they're shoving a PSA down our throats) but I can’t with this show anymore.
It’s also quite ironic that it’s very clear that Glee is taking the piss out of the Klainers, reducing Klaine to a tour de force that basically only still excists because of fanpandering, but still many of that fandom are now happily squeeing over and reblogging the elevator ‘Kliss’, even thanking the writers and blessing crazy-evil Sue for making what seems to be a very bad fanfiction of their ship canon.

I’m still not thrilled with Kurt dating Walter, but I have to admit I like how the guy wasn’t impressed at all by Sue and gave her a taste of her own medicine. “When you’re as handsome as I am very little bothers you”, lol. Anyone who defends Kurt (especially from people who push him back to Blaine) and make him laugh is okay in my book. Walter asking Sue how old she is was extra rich because she tries to shame him for liking a young man like Kurt when Sue is the one who basically has a creepy sexual obsession/fetish with Klaine (so that includes Kurt), salivating over secretly taken footage of Klaine PDA and forcing them to kiss a day later.
Also: Blaine really went for that forced kiss when he is the one who has a boyfriend waiting at home. But on Glee it’s apparently okay, even romantic, to (emotionally) cheat when it’s with your ‘soulmate’, ugh.

The less said about Samchel the better imo. Rachel is not so naive that she wouldn’t suspect something’s wrong with Sam, although she probably wouldn’t think of him being hypnotized by Sue, even though apparently she and Will immediately knew it was Sue who sent Sam to steal his mail. Bah, this storyline is too ridiculous to even think about.
I also caught those Finn lines that Sam said, and found them to be distasteful, but nothing I wouldn’t expect from Glee as they respect nothing and noone.

Why all of a sudden does who wins Invitationals matter? I mean, it was crazy Sue I-hate-the-glee-club organizing the Invitationals and doing the judging, so basically it meant nothing. So why are VA and the Warblers so bummed while ND celebrate and cherish a trophy that has a pig on it as if they won Nationals?
They were clearly imitating scenes of earlier seasons, and this was basically just a cheap way to have a second competition between ND, VA and the Warblers besides Sectionals in this last season (as Sectionals would cancel out those other 2 choirs). Why rehash something only once if you can do it twice, right? In the mean time we get more solos and songs from VA and the Warblers than from characters that have been on Glee from the beginning.

I did like Rachel apologizing to Will about Invitationals, so there’s that, and I don’t think she should have known all the names of the season 4 ND kids, but her calling Unique “cross-dressing Mercedes” was out of line and imo OOC, plus quite hypocritical of the writers after Beiste’s storyline.
Same goes for Sue mocking Dave by calling him suicidal, when she was crying when she found out about his attempted suicide.

One last thing: having characters call Rachel and Kurt good teachers over and over again still doesn’t make them actual teachers nor does it really help showing how important the arts are at school, not without any degree nor any real teaching experience between them.

Re: 6x05 "The Hurt Locker, Part Two" Watch & Discussion thread

Post  ColferInspired on 1/31/2015, 11:40 pm

By others reviews I thought I would hate this episode or find it boring.

Oddly enough, I didn't to either.

There were parts that I did hate, the stuff about Dave, but nothing shocks me about Glee anymore, so I just dismissed it, as I no longer take this show seriously, but I now it hurt others in the fandom making Dave's suicide attempt a joke, and that is who I feel for.

I still loved the music and glad I saved it on my computer.

The Warblers could have done without the music accompaniment, but all these songs are favourites of mine and I think these versions were okay.

The elevator scenes I have now found out was partly ad-libbed is why some of the time it seemed so natural and not over acted or badly acted by Darren.

I liked the Rachel and Kitty interaction.

But a lot of the stories were forced which gave the episode really bad pacing.

Becky became the voice of the Kurt stans, which was a nice surprise.

This episode was not perfect, but I have read really really bad fan-fiction, and this to me was not it.

It was just a crazy stupid episode, that I kind of enjoyed.

I don't expect brilliance from Glee, so I just watch an episode expecting nothing. Guess I have become immune and am no longer invested in the show that I can just sit back and watch and not have any emotions involved where I got angry or upset.

All I saw in that elevator was two people renewing their friendship.

By Kurt's expression after the kiss, the kiss was anti-climatic.

I just see two friends not lovers.
