Me: Hi, I’m Jennifer. (Shaking his hand.)
Chris: Hi, Good to see you!
Me: Nice to meet you.
Chris: You too, you too.
Me: I brought you these last year, and I was too star struck, and forgot to give them to you.
Chris: Oh! Look at that!
Me: Ninja Kitties…
Chris: Oh my god.
Alla: You know he’s gonna wear that, right?
Chris: Oh, yeah, I will.
Me: I hope so! And, the very British llama.
Chris: Oh, that is incredible. ’Indeed.’ He’s gorgeous.
Me: They’re kinda tight, they’re kinda small, but you’re kinda… you’ll get the bulging biceps out of it.
Chris: Oh, god bless you. Thank you so much! Look at that.
Me: You’re welcome! And, I tweeted you about my niece, and this is her.

TLoS3 signing in Montclair

What a whirlwind….just walked away from my 10-second conversation with Chris Colfer. We had to wait outside for a while before they began calling groups in, but once they started the line moved very fast.
So when I walked up, I didn’t have anything planned to say. Just wanted to get my books signed and see him in person. So our oh-so-deep conversation went like this:
CC: Hi!
Me: Hi, how ya doin’?
CC: Good thanks, how are you?
Me: I’m good. (Watching him speed-sign.) I don’t know how your hand doesn’t cramp.
CC: It’s never my hand. My hand is fine. My butt cramps, though.
Me: Something’s gotta cramp! Thank you!
And I walked away from the table. I tried to get a picture from the designated spot after having my books signed, but it really wasn’t ideal. From the allowed location for pics, the next person at the table blocked the view of Chris Colfer. So none of my pics came out well. And I didn’t even try getting someone to take a pic for me that would include me at the table with him, b/c again, the angle wasn’t good. Oh well, I know I was there, even without photo proof.

Meeting Chris Colfer Again!
So, I was pretty tired after Tuesday’s signing but I’ll finally write what happened if anyone wants to read.
My friend and I went on line at 7 in the morning, even though the line was relatively short. I met the same amazing girl, imsorrymissamerica, from his second book’s signing and we talked and had fun before we bought our books.
Anyways, My friend and I went waited at our seats with the little row with us (we made three new friends! Weee!) And spent a whole day getting antsy about meeting Chris!
Once the signing started, I planned to not freak out an apologize over and over again like last time.
I was so absorbed in asking him my question, that when he asked how I was, I took a moment before I said, “good!” *facepalms* and this is our few seconds conversation.
Me: So, I’m going to be editor-in-chief of my school magazine this coming year!
Chris: Oh my god, that’s so cool!
Me: Thanks! Well, do you have any advice for me…
Chris: Oh, gosh, *thinks for a moment* Try to publish as much as possible, even if it’s crap. *chuckles* and make sure it’s very diverse because diversity will affect more people reading it.
I thanked him and had to wait for my friend since I forgot how to walk down some stairs.
His advice was great and I’m really going to take that to heart this coming year. Yay Chris!

Fantastic! It's nice that so many stores have things set up that you don't have to be camped out at the store the whole time.
Have fun!

Re: The Land of Stories 3 : Book Tour 2014
An article about the Burlington signing in the Boston Globe:
xChris Colfer casts a charming spell as the fabulous Kurt Hummel on “Glee.” Turns out he’s just as bewitching an author. More than 300 giddy fans of Colfer’s middle-grade “The Land of Stories” series lined up to meet the actor-writer Thursday at Barnes & Noble in Burlington. Kurt was curt with his pen, having time to only autograph, not personalize copies of “A Grimm Warning.” Still, Hannah Alsup of Saugus was elated to tell Colfer how much she related to his first book, “Struck By Lightning,” about an aspiring young journalist who blackmails his classmates. “That’s one of the biggest reasons I write — to inspire people,” Colfer told her.
Also swooning was Kayla Keirstead of Waltham, who impressed Colfer with a tattoo on her chest of a quote adapted from “Lightning.” It read: “Once upon a time there was a girl who flew.” Said the 23-year-old: “It’s weird that he exists in real life.” Many fans brought gifts: personal letters, drawings, homemade jewelry. Some were so flustered by the sight of Colfer, they momentarily forgot their own names. Others accidentally left their signed copies on the table, only to be redirected by a store rep to claim them.
Last in line was Lindsey Ashworth of Fairhaven, who turned out to be the teariest of the bunch. The 14-year-old with lupus nephritis had met Colfer through the Make-A-Wish Foundation on the set of “Glee” in 2012. Ashworth showed Colfer a photo they had taken together, and he replied: You were 11 when I met you!” “I can’t believe he remembered me,” she said, tears streaming down her face. “He’s just adorable, and the most talented man on earth.”

Despite the crowds Chris took the time to look at the land of stories board game I made for him and told me he’s in meetings to make a board and video fame from the books, he jokingly said they could use mine as a prototype
Oooh, my kids would love a board an/or video game of TLoS.
And then there's also this:

Re: The Land of Stories 3 : Book Tour 2014
Here are some of my pictures that I took at the Book signing (some of them were taken from the second floor, so they aren’t that close or clear, but a few came out good.
The book signing was lot of fun. We had purple wrist bands, so we were in the first group to go in, and they really rushed us through really fast (I had met Chris by 3:43 p.m.).
When I got up to Chris, I put my hand out and shook Chris’ hand. I told him that I wanted to do something for him to say thanks for all he does to entertain us. I told him I knew that there was nothing that I could buy him that he would need, so I decided to make a donation in his name to a children’s literacy organization called First Book. I handed him a printed out e-card with information about the organization, and the short note I put in the e-card. He thanked me and said it was very sweet. Alla told me that it was a great gift. I thanked Chris for being so amazing, and shook his hand again. And I thanked Alla for all she does for Chris and told her everyone loves her.
It was over way too fast because they rushed everyone through, as Chris and his entourage had to get to the airport, but it was worth going. They did a great job of getting everyone through the line really fast (he probably got through 200 people in about a half hour).

Those pictures look great Jelly, your camera has a good quality. And shallow comment, but doesn't he look toned with that t-shirt?

Technically, I guess it's my second time--asked him a question at the NY festival, and today. I didn't speak to him at Tribeca, though I stood a few feet from him.

I used an iPhone 5s for most of them. The far away ones were taken with a canon point and shoot camera. And yes, he looks tone with the t-shirt.
Buenos wrote:What a lovely gift to give him, Jellyrolls!
I felt like I wanted to do something to say thank you to him, but I knew that I didn't want to give him a token gift that would probably wind up in a donation place somewhere. I mean, how many stuffed animals and t-shirts does he need? So I decided to do something that showed my appreciation for him, but also would do something that would help others in his honor.

That is a wonderful gift idea.
Such wonderful pics too.
And it's great you had a good time meeting Chris.
I love how Chris is changing up his clothes when he used to during these signings wear a similar style shirt in different colours, or a different pattern sometimes.
