About quotes and quote levels
whenever I clicked "quote", all the quotes in the posted, neatedly nested, are shown up. fine if I want to quote all of them, but sometimes I just want to quote the outter most layer (the last quote). Right now I will have to delete all the previous levels manually and sometimes I mess up w/ the tags. Is there a simple way to quote only hte last one?
And what does "multi-quote" do?
Can I quote multiple posts (not nested) in the same post?
please walk through w/ me. Thanks!

I like how you're asking a question and then answering it in the next line . About the multi-leveled quote, there is no way to have automatically what everyone would want for their own post. The board will take into account the previous quotes, if you're not interested, you can either delete it manually or quote manually (copy/paste and use the quote tags).fantastica wrote:whenever I clicked "quote", all the quotes in the posted, neatedly nested, are shown up. fine if I want to quote all of them, but sometimes I just want to quote the outter most layer (the last quote). reminder of how the tags works for multi-leveled quote when you're quoting a PersonB who was already quoting a PersonA:
[quote=PersonB][quote=PersonA]blablaAAAAAAAAAAAA[/quote]blablaBBBBBBBBBB[/quote]
If you mess with the tags, you can always edit to correct them (usually, you're the last poster at that moment, so no worries: no edit message to fear )

Re: About quotes and quote levels
thanks! how do I use "multi-quote" (not multi-level...)?
assume I want to quote A from post #1, and B from post #2, and put both A & B in my post #3, without using copy and paste. Please show the steps. thanks again!

Re: About quotes and quote levels
If you have already used them on GF, it's exactly the same way.
Otherwise, you click on "multi-quote" of every post you want to quote and when you're done with the selection, you click on "post reply". All the posts selected will appear in your post.
