Wow Rachel... you're in your dance class with a teacher that already doesn't like you. Maybe actually paying attention to her, showing that you're focused on the class and invested in learning rather than blathering about a Broadway audition with a killer director when you haven't even managed to get through a single semester might be a good idea.
And that wasn't a jete - that was Brody acting as Rachel furnature again.
Uh oh... Casandra's plotting....

Re: 4x06 "Glease" Watch & Discussion thread
Why does Brittany make comments like "Adele is dead"? Is that seriously necessary.
Will, Sue always finds out about things, and tries to stop them. Have you not realized that from working with her all these years?
Bloaty the gravy clown.
Yay! Old abusive Sue is back!
So, late nights, lots of time with Cassandra July. Recycle alert. The Brody/Cassandra story is just a not so offensive version of the Pucky/Shelby story.
The more I see Kitty, the more I don't like her. She is just too mean to be funny. The whole thing with Marley is not funny or entertaining.
Marley's acting seems off in the first few minutes of the episode.
Recyle alert: Sue is booking the auditorium so no one else can use it! That happened in season one!
I love Finn in the scene in the garage. The hope, and the encouragement. I love this Finn.
I think this may be the most boring version of Greased Lightning I've ever heard. There's no energy or excitement in the performance.

We know that Kurt can really stretch a lot more than he did in that scene.
No, you don't need to see him, Kurt. You're strong. You can do so much better than the cheating attention whore.
I don't like this Kitty/Marley story at all. Kitty is just too nasty. I don't find her funny at all.
Recycle alert: Wade's parents not wanting Wade to be Rizzo is recycled of Mike's parents not wanting him to be Frankenfurter.
Alex was horrible when Unique got pushed into the locker. No affect whatsoever in his reaction.
Chris Colfer, I must really love you to spend all this time watching the crap to get to the precious moments you are on my screen.

Re: 4x06 "Glease" Watch & Discussion thread
I love Cassandra so much... she's so matter of fact about her wickedness. And she seemed... tolerant of Kurt. Interesting...
Kitty is so unrepentingly evil. I hope they keep her that way because we already know that Sue has a heart. The show needs a villian. Though it would be more interesting if Marley had anything resembling a spine. Sandra Dee has so far been the musical highlight.
I like Wade's/Unique's parents. They're supportive but realistic to what their child faces. Finn really doesn't have any clue what someone like Unique is facing (or what someone like Kurt faced).
Sucks to be Tina... I'm really hoping that she is going to stand up for herself and tell Finn, Artie and the rest of ND to go screw themselves.

Awww. Kurt, Rachel, and Mercedes. Kurt looks relaxed.
Derpy face alert! Blaine sure looks happy and comfortable onstage considering last week, he didn't think he could do it. That was pretty unimpressive. But I bet they stunt cast him as teen angel someday on a grease tour.
I liked Blake in the scene with Marley. I thought he did a good job delivering his lines, and his expressions were right on.

Re: 4x06 "Glease" Watch & Discussion thread
Well, we are certainly getting Kurt's POV here. He's the one who wants to face Blaine and get some kind of closure. And the emotional punch of the break up fall out is squarely coming from how it affected Kurt. Last week Blaine whined about not eating and sleeping and inability to gel off hours. Now we're seeing that Kurt is just as deeply affected, if not more so. Kurt is the one now who has the power to decide where they go from here.

Re: 4x06 "Glease" Watch & Discussion thread
I have to say that Heather has improved as an actress. I mean, I can understand pretty muc every word she says now, where as I used to have to rewind to get what she was saying.
"There Are Worse Things I Could Do" wasn't a great song for Naya. I didn't like her take on it at all. I liked Cassandra the best on it.
So, wait, we don't know why Tike broke up, but we can see that they can talk about getting back together? Bet that's that last we'll see of that.
I am kind of liking Blake and Marley as a couple.

I liked "You're The One That I Want." I thought Blake and Marley did well, and Finn and Rachel were a lot of fun.
See, Cassandra is exactly the kind of nasty that they need on the show.

It's got Kurt, which automatically makes it miles ahead of last week's snooze fest.
And we just had the Cassandra/Rachel smackdown! Loved it! Cassandra is a manipulative bitch and I want to keep her forever!

I think the last couple of scenes will make the difference for us Kurtsies. I've felt that the most of the Grease performances have been boring. Honestly, I feel like it is watching real high school kids performing Grease--boring and uneven--not what you'd expect professional actors.

Re: 4x06 "Glease" Watch & Discussion thread
Well, Kurt definately made his feelings known. And told Blaine in no uncertain terms that there was nothing he could say that would "fix" things between them because the trust Kurt had in Blaine has been shattered.
Could have done without yet another rehashing about the end of Finchel. Was glad that Finn is finally standing up for himself and isn't just letting Rachel walk all over him.
They did utter one truth in this ep - Lima is no longer home for Kurt and Rachel.

You're my moose. hehe. Oh, Finn.
Finish up, Finn and Rachel, or there won't be adequate time for Klaine.
Good for Kurt. Not long enough, but Chris was firm and strong in it.
I didn't like the way they had Blaine play the scene. He didn't look upset at all. Just kind of shocked (was it "I can't believe you aren't running back into my arms because I'm so amazing" shock?). Even in the scene afterwards, he didn't seem to be all that affected by the talk with Kurt.

Kurt still didn't say goodbye to Blaine though. He said he'd never say goodbye, remember?
And he said "I don't trust you anymore". But he didn't say "I don't love you anymore".
Sigh.

The Kitty/Marley was gross. Kitty is terrible and pretty irredeemable.
Alex has literally the same facial expression for everything. Alex is just not a good actor. Neither was that athlete extra, tbh.
Also, Wade's parents not wanting him in the play to protect him is also a reverse retread of Kurt failing Defying Gravity to protect Burt. Oy, this show.

Agreed on Blaine, but I think that's Darren's inability to have reaction transfer scenes. I also though it was ridiculous of him to basically demand Kurt talk to him, refer to it as a "hook-up" again and then act all shocked that Kurt told him where to stick it.

Re: 4x06 "Glease" Watch & Discussion thread
I feel like I'm spamming.
So that was the first time that I paid attention when the newbies were on screen and I was thoroughly unimpressed. Some are ok actors, others not so much, but they are all really boring. The performances didn't pop, and I think they made a mistake bringing the originals on to perform in the same ep because the originals are so much better.
Not here for them retreading every old storyline.
Loved Kurt and Chris was fantastic, even in his few minutes of screentime. Glad Kurt let his feelings known. Won;t watch next week. Partially because of Turkey day and partcially because there is nothing to watch for.

I've got my review up at http://recappersdelight.blogspot.com/2012/11/glee-episode-review-glease.html. Recap to come later.
The Marley story line was completely unbelievable.

I don't think Blaine's shocked not upset face was because of Darren's inability to act. I think it was supposed to be that way. I have some serious doubts about what Blaine did with that guy. I was sure they slept together, but what he sad "I never told you what happened". I don't think he wanted to share all the dirty details. There is something more there and probably next week we will see what exactly.
- Spoiler:
- The flashback with B. running out of Eli's room. And Eli asking him "Are you upset because I don't look like my profile picture." Who asks a question like that if you two just had sex. It doesn't make sense.
And Kurt calling Blaine in ep.8. What changes in one episode? Why would Kurt want to talk to him and will be happy to see him at Christmas, when he was so upset and hurt now.
If I'm right about this I'll say that B. is really stupid. Why would you call that a hook up idiot? They don't teach us what hook up means at school but even I know what it means and English is my third language.
I know it doesn't matter what exactly happened, Kurt said it himself, it's still cheating and he doesn't trust him anymore. But it will deffinetely make the reunion easier at the end.
Another thing why the hell is Brody half naked all the time. Doesn't he have shirts. Ughhh. That got old like 3 episodes ago. Stop showing us the guy shirtless Glee, it won't make us like him more or at all in my case.
I'm happy they gave Tina some lines this episodes. I laughed when she started yelling at Finn and Mr. Shue. I'm sorry they didn't give her the part of Rizzo but at least she showed us that she has a voice too and is ready to fight for what she wants. That's what I got from the whole thing, maybe I'm wrong and Tina will be just an extra again in the next episodes.
The whole thing with Marley. It was Kitty's fault that she couldn't fit in the skirt, but it was just one skirt. Isn't it odd that all the other costumes and her own clothes were OK, just this one was smaller. If she is felling like she is getting fat, why doesn't she check her weight instead of throwing up. That's what I would do first.
I always had my doubts about Hummelberry, considering what Rachel did in the past, but I really loved their friendship in this episode.
And finally Kurt. My baby was so handsome and just gorgeous as always. He took my breath away this episode. In the scene with Cassy and Rachel, he was so cute and sexy. And that look Rachel gave him after commenting on Cassandra's abs. I watched that Klaine scene five times, Chris was so so good in it. It was like 30 seconds long but it was enough to show Kurt's feelings. These 30 seconds and Chris's flawlessness is all I remember from the episode.
