Thank you for all the lovely posts, everyone, and you're all very welcome for the report.

Glorfindel wrote:^That sounds wonderful, Erin.

You're so lucky to have met him, even though you were too flustered to say much. At least Chris has got your letter now (that was a good idea) and I'm sure he will read it, so he will know how much he means to you. neutre

And your family is great for staying with you all day and making those pictures.
Imagine: you've got a picture with yourself and Chris Colfer on it, only a few feet apart!

Yes, my family was awesome for doing that for me. wub Especially since none of them are really Chris fans (my Mom is, she likes Kurt and Chris, but not with the same passion) so they waited all those hours only because they knew meeting him would make me so happy.

And I'm definitely really lucky that I met him, and even luckier that I got a picture of it to keep forever along with the memory and the signature. I feel very blessed. neutre

I'm also very glad I wrote that letter. You're right - I may not have been able to say anything in person, but at least he'll still get to "hear" it in the letter and know how much he means to me. neutre Chris seems to treasure his fans, so I'm sure he'll read it eventually, and any other fan letters he got from the signings.

BlueJazz wrote:Thanks for the lovely post, Erin bisou And please don't be disappointed in yourself because you didn't speak much to Chris. I might have the same response as you if I met him Razz

Chris seems to be lovely and adorable in your report and you must be thrilled that you're in the same photo with him aa54

PS: The Goldilocks that you drew is SO CUTE flower flower Feel free to share more of this precious encounter if you want to Smile

Thank you so much! bisou I'm not the best artist in the world, but I'm glad you find it cute. I hope Chris will too. hapitgh

He was very lovely, and really nice to everyone who talked to him. wub I'm thrilled I got to meet him at all! But the picture is awesome too, I have my mom to thank for that, she's the one who took it.

arina wrote:Erin, thanks for the report! And don't be disappointed. I think most of us would react similarly if we were in this situation. You were in the same room as he was, he called you honey wub , he got your letter, you got his signature and you have picture where he is with you! So I think it was succesful trip :-)... And the drawing is really cute, Goldilocks is one my favorite as well :-)

Having all those wonderful things listed for me, it truly was a success, wasn't it? Thank you for doing that. I'll try to focus on everything that went well instead of how I froze up, since so much did go perfectly. I'll never forget how his voice sounded when he called me honey. blushh

And thank you for the compliment to my Goldilocks art Smile

tanita_mors wrote:I'm glad you had a wonderful experience. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't have been much different then you. I don't like to gush about or to celebrities and I find it awkward when people do. I would have asked him how he was doing, that I can't wait for the sequels and his movies and that he should keep up the great work he is doing. And that would have been it. But, I'm secretly a little (OK, a lot) jealous that you met him. phr34r And that goes for the rest of you who did or have seen him in-person.

Thank you. neutre I really hope Chris will have some signings internationally someday, maybe for TLOS 2, so all of you can have an opportunity to meet him as well.

You would have found the signing very awkward then, if you don't like gushing or crying or vomiting over a celebrity and find it creepy - I witnessed not only girls puking over how nervous they were to meet him, but I saw several burst into tears. ooppss I'm glad I was just shaking-nervous instead of, well, sick-nervous. I'm also very relieved I didn't do something super inappropriate or embarassing!

You're very welcome Kim, and thank you so much for the encouragement and for the congratulations. bisou It definitely does make me feel better to remember all the times Chris was starstruck in front of his idols, like Helena Bohem Carter. Razz Chris understood exactly how overwhelmed I felt.

It really is a beautiful memory that I'll cherish. wub

Thank you for the report Erin.

I loved your Goldilocks drawing.

I would be nervous meeting Chris to. But at least you finally did meet him and was able to say at least something. It's alright to be starstruck from the fan stories I have read about meeting him it happens most of the time.

It's wonderful that you have a picture with him.

@Colfergirl, you're such a lucky girl for having seen Chris. I bet it was an amazing moment for you and I understand you were nervous, I would have felt the same in your position but then you talked to him without problems :D LUCKY.

Welcome back btw.

I have never heard of people vomit after childbirth. During the pregnancy many do!

Yes I meant "womb" and don't make fun of me when you often have more hilarous typos than I do. Razz on the other hand, I did have stitches because the process was so traumatic! I had a natural childbirth but my first one was a 9.5lb giant. (he's still a giant today, being taller than Cory)

Erin, I can tell your family support you always, because you have such a postive attitude all the time. When I told my mom I was going to see Chris' movie at Tribecca she thought I was totally crazy to leave a couple of hours early. She thought i was wasting precious time. I told her she was wasting her precious time too to tell me not to go.

Thank You Colfergirl for reporting your meeting Chris, no matter how short and breathtaking it may have been. You as a boardmember verify it for me: He is infact real and not our imaginary friend or a mystified woodland creature.

I think you did fine meeting Chris, Colfergirl. Not that I think I would throw up, but I do have a bit of a speech impediment, and when I am nervous have to really focus on not actually biting my tongue. I would have been happy to get some words out in something resembling English, and not blushing bright red.

Actually the reports I have been reading from fans some bookstores are running out of copies and are having to order more. One Barnes and Noble have been through two shipments already and are ordering more in because of the demand.

Though some bookstores here in Australia bookstores are idiots, they have that many copies of Fifty Shades of Grey on display that they haven't put Chris's book or any other new ones out on display.

And the funny thing is the women that have bought Fifty Shades of Grey are now buying Land of Stories.

when it comes to selling things such as books or music, the better selling a product is the better promotion it will get and thus more better selling. A lot of people who are looking for things to read/listen to will be attracted to the hottest items now because - hay, if most people like it, it must be better, right?

I did think that, it is just funny, because it's going from porn to fairytales.

And I wish some of bookstores weren't so dumb in my part of town and just put the Land Of Stories out on display as people are wanting to read it. It is still nice to hear that it is being sold out though.

I know I'm late to the welcome-back party, but... Welcome back, ColferGirl! neutre

Wish I could see your lovely photos, but the evilly slow internet is working against me at the moment and photospictures just refuse to load :( Oh well, I'll catch up with the goodies once things become normal again. Am curious about your Goldilocks art.

I'm happy for you that you met Chris in real life! Don't feel bad about the nerves. It clearly looks like you're not the only person suffering from the starstruck-by-Chris phenomenon (and Chris really wasn't playing fair by looking directly at you like that, looking the way he did, and basically existing tonguue ). And you've had the great foresight to be prepared for this eventuality by writing a detailed letter for him beforehand Smile

Shots of me with Chris! Misty managed to snap the last one at Chris’ book signing in SF (thank you!) Smile

When Chris was signing my book, I told him I was an extra at the prom and that during Take My Breath Away, he and Darren came over and danced with me and Kiernan (Darren had held my hand, and Chris had held Kiernan’s) and I just wanted to thank him because it was really fun. He replied, “Oh yeah, yes, that was you! That was fun! No, thank you for being at prom!” I then congratulated him on his book and thanked him for doing the signing, to which he said, “No, thank YOU for COMING to the signing!”

Then it was Kiernan’s turn and she went up and told him that she was an extra at prom as well and mentioned that he had held her hand, and he said, “Oh yeah, during the circle group.” Then she thanked him and he thanked her and called us coworkers, resulting in Kiernan dying and me seemingly remaining calm although secretly dying on the inside.
