OK, so Mr. Schue puts eveyone's names in a hat. How did they end up pairing up properly. I mean, if Finn picked Kurt, doesn't Kurt need to pick up too? Mr. Schue didn't put in only some of the songs.

I really liked Lea and Matt singing "Endless Love." I wish they sang together more.

What was the point of Puck's voiceover in the song. I mean, did we really need to know that Puck is going full commando.

I love the expressions that Will and Rachel have in the song. Will does a good job on the "What the hell did I get myself into" look.

Do thy really have chastity balls?

So, Matt missed a week of school for a spider in his ear. Blaine missed a few weeks for a rock salt slushie to the eye. How much school would Rachel miss if she got a hangnail? I'd guess at least a month.

The Susie Pepper story is funny. Glee sure has a history of having people be stalkers and preadtors, don't they. You'd think someone named Susie Peppe wouldn't want to have peppers on her clothing though.

I love how Kurt looks so hopeful in the scene with Finn, and Finn looks so uncomfortable.

Cory really did a nice job on "I'll Stand By You." The cowboy wallpaper in his bedroom is funny. It was odd when he got caught singing to a sonogram though. hehe.

I love the way Kurt says "It's because she's a girl" after the Quinn and Finn fight. And the voiceover/montage is one of my favorites they did n the show. When Puck pushes Kurt into the locker does anyone else think it was just Chris' clothes in the scene and not Kurt. It just wasn't a Kurt outfit.

This was a good music episode for Will. I really liked "Don't Stand So Close To Me/Young Girl" a lot. And Matt did a great job singing it, and acting it out.

In light of the real Glee equality discussion we've been having on the board, the Finn inviting Kurt over to help him pick up clothes seems diffrent. With the no means no thing and all that stuff in Duet, Finn never really did anything to discouorage Kurt. I mean, I'm sure he knew Kurt was crushing on him, but he never discouraged it. He just kind of ignored it and maintained a friendship with him.

So, how does the vegetarian Rachel know how to make venison stew? I love that Terry took advantage of her and had her cleaning the bathroom.

I think that the scene between Mercedes and Puck is one of Amber's best. She really stepped it up for that one.

How come Quinn's dad says their last name is Fab-Ray when veryone else calls them Fa-Bray?

I love the phone conversation between Kurt and Finn from the "Well hello Finn Hudson" to the "I have to go. They'll think I'm pooping." I wish it was longer.

I like the way Cory sang "You're Having My Baby." But gosh, it took Mr. FAB-RAY a long time to figure out what Finn was singing.

I wish they gave Mr. Fab-Ray a better story of remembrance from Quinn's childhood. I really can't picture Quinn going to a baseball game, even as a little girl.

Dianna plays coniving bitch better than she does hurt sobby child. They should keep with her as coniviving bitch.

I love how Mr. Schue became so understanding and supportive for Rachel after he had been so hard on her.

I wish that they really let Chris sing "I Honestly Love You." He would have killed the song.

"Lean On Me" was a nice group number. Kevin really has a nice smooth voice, and he blends well with Amber. And how adorable is Kurt with the "call me" to Finn? I love when they seem like they are genuinely having fun when doing a group number like this rather than just acting. The don't do that much anymore.

LOL I thought the same about Kurt's outfit, it was SO Chris. But then I imagine that sometimes he wears his less fashionable clothing due to the slushie but then I thought C'mon for Kurt there's always an opportunity for fashion. Honestly I don't know what happened with that scene.

Regarding "Lean On Me", I read that Dianna and Cory weren't in the rehearsals to get more surprise and emotion during the shoot of the scene.

I do not like Will's header words on that whiteboard. Kurt looks so lonely sitting at the middle with huge gap between everyone else.

I hated these random pairings we also had to do in high school because you would always be paired with someone you really didn't want to be paired off with.

For me Rachel/Will duet is really uncomfortable even though the song it self is good. I can not really understand why Rachel would have a crush on Will. OK, the teenagers crush on teacher is taken, but Will? Would Will really be the number one in the crush list? I guess based on the teachers we've seen Will ranks quite high. The tie with the gold stars was hilarious gift from Rachel. She is no longer needs to give out gold star stickers because after graduation she IS a star.

Will is a bit of a wussy when it comes to real life, he has no real consept of othe peoples feelings or actions of his students, or girlfriends to think of it. And that singing to Emma and Rachel is just feeding the flame because he's just so dumb.

I think this is my big Finn and Furt love dedication ep. That scene with Kurt and Finn by the piano is so well done. It's not Glee, it's better. Both of them are acting on a another level than Glee demands. And Caroles realisation of what Finn might have done. I think Quinns fears are not valid, I have a feeling Carole doesn't bother that much with the other parents.

I don't think I noticed, it could be that HS had just started...so Kurt would be about 13 yo freshman, not quite the fashion daring guy yet.

I think Kurts crush from my point of view is nothing like predatory but endearing and heartbreaking because we as viewers we should know better, but apparently some Glee watchers do not. I have so much personal feelings relating to the scene at the basement with Furt that I could ramble on about that for entire evening. I would have watched 45 min of these two talking about their dead parents and THOSE would have been Emmy worthy performance minutes. That image of Kurt lying by the dresser is just so heartbreaking and real. And these two are the only ones that have any kind of connection to the world outside of school and Glee in general. I just keep thinking how good the spin-off, if done as a drama, with these two + Rachel would have been. I want and need a proper scene like this with Furt again next season, I think Glee needs it. Brad Falchuk used to know how to write Finn and by side effort he knew how to write Kurt as well.

Jellyrolls wrote:I think that the scene between Mercedes and Puck is one of Amber's best. She really stepped it up for that one.

Puck and Mercedes together is just so odd, but that is also the nice part: Glee needs to do this more. I remembered that Puck sang Lady Is a Tramp on this one but it was the other pair assignment in Duets. I think a lot of Gleeks wish more of these crossovers between characters.

”They'll think I'm pooping.” That is such a classic and Kurt's WTF face. LOL.

As Quinn's parents I would be too engulfed to the actual oddity of Finn singing during dinner rather that focus on the lyrics at all. Her dad is just too much of a stereotypical conservative character that even when Glee is supposed to be a little bit over the board, I just can't fathom a man like him. I'm sure they excist but not in the pert of the world and time I'm coming from. Of course her mom would be afraid of that kind of tyrannical man, there's only a short step from that atmosphere to violence which disturbes me a lot. At this point of the episode I realise and remember that Kurt AND Finn have the best parents, even better than Rachels dads.

Finn is a really god man, or at least he was once upon a time.

I just really watched and paid attention to this episode. The first and mostly second season was just plain fun. Chris has grown so much. He is taller and thinner (lots thinner) and his voice, I think, has gotten lower. In interviews, now, it seems much lower. This kid has grown into a smokin hot man!

Rachel cooks the meal, cleans the bathroom, but doesn't get to eat it?! Unfair. They should have at least fed her.
