It's probably Shrek but I really can't remember clearly. As you've stated, this song/music tends to be used as background music and background music is not something that I pick up consciously when I watch a film.

I seriously didn't know about the song. I grew up listening to songs on TV shows like Muppet babies, Kidsongs and Sesame Street. We didn't have MTV and my parents only listened to golden oldies.

What kind of music do you usually listening to? I can't believe you don't know who's Adam Lambert. Well he isn't so famous in my country but I came across with AI when he was in the show years ago. And I thought he was/is good, and the same thought the judges. But it seems people wasn't ready to have an AI winner who's gay.

And girl, it was the same in case. I didn't have TV Cable when I was a child, so I grew up listened to Sesame Street and Muppet babies, plus national tv programmes we had back then. And mexican music, because my mom loves it.

This song is sad, but for me the video was well done in terms of storyline and acting

I just found this song and though is kinda a teenage song perfect for Glee, is catchy. And I like the gothic aesthetic that it has the video.

This is a link to one of a childhood favorites of mine, The Lion King. My favorite scene (the stampede scene) starts at 15 seconds in. Boy, does this bring back memories or what? Someone started talking about The Lion King Broadway musical on a different thread, and it just reminded me of this scene from the animated movie.

A great soundtrack is key to a great film. In this scene, the vocals have been cut out, but we are left with the original background music that went with the scene. Watch how perfectly the score goes with the images and emotions onscreen. Even without the aid of the voice actors, the music gets the message across pretty perfectly. This scene is masterfully done, even for a children's animated film.

Hans Zimmer did the score. He's also done film scores for the Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight, Rain Man, Driving Miss Daisy, The Ring and many, many more. He's kind of like another favorite film composer of mine (Thomas Newman) in the fact that he's everywhere. AR Rahman is another great one.

And this is just beautiful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2rIm_Td2Mk (this is that same song used in a beautiful Chris montage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bJoNuW-sKE )

Wow, I've never consciously become aware of how powerful the instrumental music behind this scene is until now. That came across nicely in the scene on the Broadway Musical as well (The way they did the stampede scene on stage was really creative).

When I was a child I used to love this movie, and I still remember how the music made you feel the desperation that Mufasa and Simba were feeling at that moment, is such a well done and sad scene that I bet lots of people who have seen it, still remember it.

And I see you mentioned Hans Zimmer, my fav score from him is this one.

What I like about is how the intensity of the music is increasing slowly, and at the same time your emotions are increasing with it.

And AR Rahman is the man behind Slumdog Millionaire music, right? I know once of his songs was covered by Pussycat Dolls later, actually he's in the video too.

The music score for the Lion King is beautiful indeed and very well fitting to the scenes. I listen to the music of the Lion King fairly often.

I love how they used music of Mozart (Ave Verum Corpus) in the death of Mufasa scene (at 2.18). I get shivers down my spine everytime that part starts:

Here's the music without the voice of Simba in the scene:

I really love that. wub

the music in that hans zimmer video isn't his. the number is called "lux aeterna" from the movie "requiem for a dream" and it was composed by clint mansell.

Yes, he did "Slumdog Millionaire", "127 Hours" and many more. I LOVED his work on Slumdog Millionaire. One of the songs (Mausam and Escape) sounds like a masterful blend of Indian music, meets techno music, meets Mozart. It was used brilliantly in the two emotional chase scenes in the film...

You're right! Probably as I wasn't totally awake is why I confused them. lol

@MoviesAreLife, I just listened to Mausam and Escape and as you pointed is a mixed of different styles. I even noticed a little touch of flamingo when the guitar plays, but it could be only my perception. Anyways, I like it and at this moment I want to stand up and dance.

It's the kind of song that makes you want to get up and start running! And the music also conveys something tragic happening after the climax of the song (
Spoiler:
said target not being able to escape their captors
).

"O...Saya" is another great song. It's the opening track. It's not as suspenseful as the other one. It's more brash.

"Riots" makes one feel uneasy, to say the least.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcVfB5meUyM This is a Hanz Zimmer track from the horror movie "The Ring". Compare and contrast to his work on Pirates of the Caribbean, the Batman movies or The Lion King! I love how there is an element of him still there...there is a small part of the track that lets you know it's composed by him (almost like a signature)....but he still almost completely changes his signature sound to fit the horror genre...comparing it to the action-adventure genre of the Pirates franchise is just remarkable. So many composers sound the same from film to film, he doesn't.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuuxnziJJS4 This is one of my favorite pieces from the "Stoker" soundtrack. Clint Mansell did most of the soundtrack, but not this piece. This is a sexually provocative, dark piano duet between uncle and niece.

I did! I didn't like the Kill Bill films themselves, but appreciate the stylized way they were shot. So I thought this video was pretty cool.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=515cfXdDqoM  This is an acapella audio video (with a haunting echo effect) of the girls' parts when singing "Marry You" from season two. Lea, Dianna, Heather and Jenna are featured. They all sound lovely. Even Heather impressed me on her "belting" parts. For a non singer, I thought she did a pretty good job.

Since Amber and Naya were left out of that video, here is an acapella video of "Rumor Has It" (with a side of Heather): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yI5KXAOddZM

Annnd, an acapella of Marley and Kitty in "Holding Out For A Hero". I hated the Dynamic Duets episode, but I loved this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn4pao1Agak

I love the female voices of Glee! wub wub

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBGFpy-DYXA

Also, the above video is hysterical. I love this YouTube channel's parodies. This was filmed in 2010, long before Glee actually did the Michael Jackson tribute. It bashes Glee, but it's just so damned funny! It's a parody of MJ reacting to his music on Glee. Some of my highlights:

-Rachel is just spot on. Also, the actress playing her is pretty hot. She's a good singer too.

-Emma is perfect. Will and his awful macaroni hair...LOL!

-Shannon singing "Man in the Mirror"....

-Finn being five feet taller than Rachel and sounding ridiculously auto-tuned...LMFAO! I'm sorry, RIP Cory, but he did...especially in the beginning. ptdr

-Kurt singing "Human Nature" when the bullies are beating him up!!!! HAHAHA!!!!! Especially those high notes! "Die, die...'cause you're different and gay!" Mercedes coming to his rescue and telling them to leave him alone...I love that song.mrgreen

-My favorite moment ever: Burt randomly jumping into the song. "Leave my gay son aloooone!" ptdr ptdr

-The bullies: "Foiled again by choreography."

-Will vs. Sue....LOL!mrgreen

-"Jermaine, you're a jerk!" and "It makes me want to kill myself, but I'm already dead."moque

-I just realized Kurt grabbed Mercedes by the boob when MJ came back from the dead...LOL!

-Rachel needing to sing about the experience in the end with a Johnny Cash song. Johnny: "Damn it!" XD

You know, I'm not into Kill Bill neither, but I love this video. Well, I'm being biased, because actually I like this group.

ptdr Please wait a second...I'm laughing... this's hilarious! And you know, isn't so different of what's Glee today: only songs and not dialogues.

I know wht's the story about, but I've never seen RENT :(. But the kid is good though, and that one of the most catchy songs that MJ ever had.

I'm listening to this song on repeat, because I simply love how the girl goes from a low range to a higher one

this past weekend there was a yearly music festival in Belgrade - Beer Fest (it's basically a music festival that promotes domestic and international beer with local and regional rock bands - of course drinking beer is optional and entry is free for everybody). I went two days (it lasts 5 ) and listened to 2 probably best serbian rock bands in the last 30 years : Riblja Čorba ( Fish Broth ) - a hard rock band with not only beautiful music but great lyrics (in serbian) and some of the best love songs i have ever heard and Bajaga i Instruktori ( Bajaga and the instructors) - more of a pop rock sound who's frontman was part of Riblja Čorba and wrote mz favorite love song (Kad hodaš ne zastajkuješ - When you're walking you don't stop). I had a great time with my friends - nice cold beer (i'm not a fan, but i partake because it's beerfest) and great music.
